Brave Mirror has been regularly delivering workshops in educational settings since the start of 2022. We’ve visited schools and universities across the UK, leading workshops based on our making process, and inspired by our critically acclaimed productions.
We offer workshops based either on a project or a theme. For example: adapting and devising, writing for theatre, starting a theatre company, producing original work at a small scale level, ‘Jane Eyre’, ‘The Tempest’, or ‘Antigone’. Each workshop is bespoke, and designed in consultation with the host organisation. They are usually led by Jamie Saul, our Artistic Director, and Thomas Duggan, our Executive Producer, or another member of the Brave Mirror team.

The Tempest: This Island Workshops
Bespoke workshops for your school, university, or community group, at an affordable price, based around our new adaptation of ‘The Tempest’.
Our suggested workshops include:
- DEVELOPMENTAL WORKSHOPS – where participants will actively help us develop the final show
- SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOPS – for us to share how we make theatre sustainably, and how schools and emerging theatre companies might do so too
- ADAPTING THE TEMPEST – for us to share how we’re modernising this classic play
- THE CLASSICAL TEMPEST – to explore Shakespeare’s original text (great for Drama or English exam integration)
Help us tailor one of the above options for your group, or work with us to design something else.
Our workshops are delivered by our young team of artists who make our professional productions, who are also freelance facilitators. We have been delivering workshops in schools, universities, and to community groups since 2022.
We ask for a fee in return for the delivery of workshops, to pay our facilitators for their time and travel, and to help fund the production of the show. Subsidised and reduced fee workshops are available.
