'A statement of the ambition that Brave Mirror has for its future'
Joseph Marshall, Bristol 24/7
It's the end of all things and time is moving strangely.
The Count gathers his troupe for the annual hunt and parties which follow, perhaps for the last time. Left behind and locked away, his newest wife, Ariane, finds herself surrounded by strange figures and ancient secrets. Soon, she begins to question the strict boundaries she’s been forced to exist within – can she break out of the story written for her?
Critically acclaimed theatre company Brave Mirror (‘Jane Eyre’, ‘The Tempest’, ‘Cancer of the Blood’), presents Natalie Beddows’ timely adaptation of the classic Bluebeard fairytale. Directed by Jamie Saul, featuring an original score by Jack Harding, and supported using public funding from Arts Council England.
‘The Sixth Heart’ performed live to sold out audiences in Cotham Church in June 2022.
