Jamie Saul (he/him)
Jamie is a theatre maker specialising in directing and producing collaborative, sustainable work with early career artists and young people.

Jamie founded Brave Mirror in 2019, and has been leading the company as Artistic Director since then, now alongside Thomas Duggan (Executive Producer). He is interested in creative adaptions of classic texts and plays, devised-based rehearsal processes, and creating sustainable, collaborative work with large groups of artists. He leads on project-based work for Brave Mirror. This includes directing and producing shows, leading and delivering the company’s workshop strand, and working to support the other emerging artists and young people who help make our shows. Outside of Brave Mirror, he is part of the busy and ambitious Drama Department at St Paul’s School, where he teaches Drama to Year 9, and supports the department across administrative, academic, and extra-curricular work. He is currently helping them develop a sustainability strategy to make their productions more environmentally friendly. He is also a Duty Manager at the Donmar Warehouse theatre in Covent Garden. He has a First Class Degree in English Literature from Bristol University.
Jamie’s theatrical influences include Emma Rice, Gecko, Frantic Assembly, Sally Cookson, Rhum+Clay, The Wardrobe Ensemble, Michael Chekhov, and Company 3.
